Marine Gardens Bowling Club, report w/ending Sunday, 24th September 2023
(September 24, 2023)The main winner during this period was the weather which caused the cancellation of 3 matches.
We did, however, complete our Stracey fixtures by losing all 4 rinks at Maltravers (83 - 48). This consigned us to the bottom spot in the league.
Our only other outing was at home where we entertained the Grasshoppers in what transpired to be their final match as a club. They finished in fine style winning on 2 of the 3 rinks (40 - 44). A closely fought match in what has always been an enjoyable fixture and as such will be sadly missed next season.
